Getting Over Braces and Anxiety
How to Prepare Yourself Before Having Braces
Braces are orthodontic treatments that have been making lives and smiles better for many decades and counting. They’re not restricted to youngsters, either. That’s because it’s not uncommon to come across adults who care about the alignment of their teeth. Braces are devices that can take care of all sorts of issues that relate to the positioning of the teeth. If you’re stressed out by an overbite, an underbite, immoderate teeth crowding, a crossbite, spacing matters or anything else along those lines, then you may just be a strong candidate for orthodontic care. It isn’t hard to find people who are afraid of dental appointments. That’s why it’s no shocker that there are so many patients who dread orthodontic appointments, too. If you’re part of that category, then you should try your best to put your anxieties behind you. That’s because neglecting oral care can sometimes lead to unfavorable consequences in your life.
I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at Southern Illinois University and then received my Doctorate of Medical Dentistry at the University of Kentucky. After, I attended the University of Tennessee to complete my Master of Science in Orthodontics degree.
I consider every minute of continuing education to be vital for my patients and myself. Staying current with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies within my field allows me to improve treatment efficiency and provide higher quality results for each person I treat.
